ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOOK STRAIGHT AND SEE THE ROAD, AND WHEN YOU SEE IT, DON´T SIT LOOKING AT IT. WALK (Ayn Rand)

TWO STINGS ON THE MOON

Sting has left an indelible mark on music with his seminal rock band The Police and as a solo artist.
So it makes perfect sense that Jimmy Fallon would think the world would be a better place with 'two Stings.'
On Friday night's “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” the musician joined forces with his host for a hilarious parody of his Police song “Walking On The Moon”.
In the skit, Fallon sports a mock-Sting hairdo as they two are dressed identically in astronaut outfits.
With the moon and stars in the background, the house band breaks into the opening bars of the memorable Police song.

At the end of each verse, and in the chorus, the two declare: `We´re two Stings on the moon´.

Now listen to the original song. Try to follow the lyrics carefully.
What do you think the real meaning of the song is?
Is walking on the moon a metaphor for something else?

WALKING ON THE MOON (The Police)
Giant steps are what you take

Walking on the moon

I hope my legs don't break

Walking on the moon
We could walk forever
Walking on the moon
We could live together
Walking on, walking on the moon
Walking back from your house

Walking on the moon

Walking back from your house

Walking on the moon
Feet they hardly touch the ground
Walking on the moon
My feet don't hardly make no sound
Walking on, walking on the moon
Some may say

I'm wishing my days away

No way

And if it's the price I pay
Some say
Tomorrow's another day
You stay
I may as well play
Giant steps are what you take
Walking on the moon
I hope
